What our verification actually does — and does not — confirm.
- Deduplication: Submissions are matched by phone number and device fingerprint to block casual duplicate entries. This does not verify citizenship or confirm that each submission corresponds to a real, unique adult, since no government ID check is performed.
- reCAPTCHA v3: Used only to block automated bot submissions. It does not verify identity or citizenship.
- Tally publication: The response count shown on the homepage is refreshed regularly. A dated historical log is published so totals cannot be silently changed.
- Rejected submissions: Entries flagged as duplicate or automated are excluded from the public count and logged separately.
Limitations
- This is a self-selected, opt-in sample, not a scientifically weighted survey. It does not represent the opinion of Indian citizens as a whole.
- It has no legal or procedural connection to the actual Bharat Ratna selection process.
- Respondent details (age group, state) are self-reported and unverified.
