1 Is this an official Government of India website? ▾
No. bharatratnaformodi.com is an independent, citizen-run initiative. It is not affiliated with, authorized by, or managed by the Government of India, the Prime Minister's Office, or any political party. See our About page for full details on who runs this site.
2 What does submitting a response actually do? ▾
Your response is added to an aggregated, public opinion tally shown on our Analysis page. It is not submitted to, reviewed by, or considered by the Government of India or any award committee.
The Bharat Ratna is awarded solely on the Prime Minister's recommendation to the President — there is no public nomination process, unlike the Padma Awards. See our Terms of Use for the full disclosure.
3 What information do you collect from me? ▾
Only your state/union territory and age group, plus basic technical signals (such as device and browser information) used to detect duplicate submissions. We do not collect your name, phone number, or email address to participate. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
4 How do you prevent duplicate or fake responses? ▾
We use device- and browser-based signals to flag repeat submissions from the same device, along with standard bot-detection tools. This reduces casual duplication but cannot verify citizenship or guarantee exactly one response per real person — see our Methodology & Sources page for the full picture, including its limitations.
5 Will my information be sold or shared with advertisers? ▾
No. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with any political party, government body, or advertiser. Our Privacy Policy lists the limited technical service providers we use (e.g., bot detection, hosting) and exactly what they receive.
6 Is this platform compliant with data protection law? ▾
We aim to follow good data-handling practices: collecting only what's necessary, being transparent about what we collect, and honoring deletion requests (see below). Yes. International supporters can participate, subject to the same duplicate-detection checks applied to all submissions.

No, participation is free. We will never ask for bank details, UPI PINs, payments, or donations of any kind.
9 Is this initiative funded by a political party or the government? ▾
No. This is a self-funded, non-partisan citizen initiative. It receives no financial support, grants, or sponsorship from any political party, campaign organization, or government body.
10 Are you affiliated with, or authorized by, the Bharat Ratna award or national symbols? ▾
No. References to "Bharat Ratna" and national emblems on this site are used only for descriptive and public-discussion purposes, under fair use — they belong to their respective statutory owners, and mentioning them doesn't imply any endorsement or official connection.
11 How can I request my data be corrected or deleted? ▾
